How can I add my own MP3s to my iPhone?

Method 1: Using iTunes

  1. First turn off iCloud Music Library, go to “Settings” → “Music” → toggle off “Sync Library” → “Turn Off”
  2. Then, launch iTunes on your computer. If you don’t have iTunes installed, download it from the Apple website and install it on your computer.
  3. Connect your iPhone to your computer using the USB cable that came with your device.
  4. In iTunes drag and drop music from your library into your iPhone!
  5. Confirm the music was synced into your phone by clicking on music in under your iPhone menu
  6. ALTERNTIVLY: click on the “Device” icon that appears at the top left corner of the iTunes window.
  7. Click on “Music” in the left sidebar.
  8. Click on “Sync Music” and select the option to “Entire music library” or “Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.”
  9. If you choose “Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres,” you can select specific MP3 files to add to your iPhone. To do this, click on the “+” icon at the bottom of the iTunes window and choose the MP3 files you want to add.
  10. Click “Apply” to start the sync process. Once the sync is complete, the MP3 files will be added to your iPhone’s Music app.

Method 2: Using iCloud

  1. Open the iCloud website on your computer and sign in using your Apple ID.
  2. Click on “Music” in the iCloud menu.
  3. Drag and drop the MP3 files you want to add into the iCloud Music Library.
