Hello, iPhone users! If you’re looking to add songs to your iPhone, whether it’s through iTunes, iCloud, or third-party apps, this guide will walk you through the process step by step. Let’s get started!

Method 1: Using iTunes

Step 1: Turn Off iCloud Music Library

Before you start, make sure to turn off iCloud Music Library:

  1. Go to “Settings” → “Music” → toggle off “Sync Library” → “Toggle Off”.

Step 2: Launch iTunes

If you don’t have iTunes installed, download it from the Apple website and install it on your computer. Launch iTunes once installed.

Step 3: Connect Your iPhone

Use the USB cable that came with your iPhone to connect it to your computer.

Step 4: Add Music to iPhone

You have two options here:

  • Option 1: Drag and Drop
    1. Drag and drop music from your iTunes library into your iPhone listed under “Devices” in iTunes.
    2. Confirm the music was synced by clicking on “Music” under your iPhone menu in iTunes.
  • Option 2: Sync Music
    1. Click on the “Device” icon that appears at the top left corner of the iTunes window.
    2. Click on “Music” in the left sidebar.
    3. Click on “Sync Music” and select the option to “Entire music library” or “Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.”
    4. If you choose “Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres,” you can select specific MP3 files to add to your iPhone by clicking on the “+” icon at the bottom of the iTunes window and choosing the MP3 files you want to add.
    5. Click “Apply” to start the sync process. Once the sync is complete, the MP3 files will be added to your iPhone’s Music app.

Method 2: Using iCloud

Step 1: Open iCloud Website

Open the iCloud website on your computer and sign in using your Apple ID.

Step 2: Add Music to iCloud Music Library

  1. Click on “Music” in the iCloud menu.
  2. Drag and drop the MP3 files you want to add into the iCloud Music Library.

Step 3: Sync iPhone with iCloud

  1. On your iPhone, go to “Settings” → “Music” and turn on “iCloud Music Library.”
  2. Wait for your iPhone to sync with iCloud. Once the sync is complete, the MP3 files will be added to your iPhone’s Music app.

Method 3: Using Third-Party Apps

Step 1: Download a Third-Party App

Download a third-party app that allows you to transfer MP3 files to your iPhone, such as Documents by Readdle or iMazing.

Step 2: Connect Your iPhone

Use the USB cable that came with your iPhone to connect it to your computer.

Step 3: Transfer Music Files

  1. Open the third-party app on your computer and select “iPhone” as the destination device.
  2. Drag and drop the MP3 files you want to add into the app’s file transfer window.
  3. Wait for the transfer to complete. Once the transfer is complete, the MP3 files will be available within the third-party app on your iPhone.

Step 4: Move Music to Music App

  1. Open the third-party app on your iPhone and select the MP3 files you want to add to your iPhone’s Music app.
  2. Use the app’s transfer function to move the MP3 files from the app to your iPhone’s Music app.
